Meet Marisa Sires, our Senior Vice President of Product.
Tell us about what makes you…you.(hometown pride, super power, secret talent)
My memory. Never tell me anything with the expectation that I might forget and never bring it up again.
What makes you feel at home at Alfred?
The team! Everyone has been so welcoming and, in an anti-pandemic trend, I’ve already had the opportunity to meet a lot of the company in person. I am especially grateful to my partner, our CTO, William, for establishing a strong relationship with me even before my first day.
Now that you’re here, what is one thing you’re excited to make happen at Alfred?
Continuous customer discovery. I can’t wait for more team members across product management, design, operations, and engineering to get in front of more customers more often to continuously acquire a better understanding of their needs, pain points, and desires.
Something you learned during the pandemic/something you wished you learned
Chinese! Once lockdown started back in 2020, I decided to learn Chinese on Duo-lingo. While I am far from fluent, I can at least get by if left on my own in a Chinese city.
What’s your walk out song/pump up song?
I’ve been listening to a lot of Dua Lipa lately. The one that gets me most pumped is “Kiss and Make Up” with BLACKPINK.
Coffee order?
I like to keep my coffee simple. You’ll most often hear me order a drip with just the tiniest splash of milk. You’d be surprised how broadly “a splash of milk” is interpreted.
