Interview With A Sommelier | Dylan Robbins
Our partnership with Lifetime Vintage brought us exclusive resident Blind Tasting events and monthly curated bottles of wine.

That’s right, a sommelier right at your fingertips. We wanted to get to know the somm’s behind the answers, starting with Lifetime Vintage Co-Founder, Dylan Robbins
Where are you from an how did you get started as a Sommelier?
I am from New York City and Connecticut. East Coast baby! I fell in love with Wine at Terroir Tribeca with the great Paul Grieco. The guy truly inspired me to learn more about wine. If you ever find yourself in NYC, definitely pop in. What I love most about wine is that it is unknowable. Every year the weather changes and winemakers try new things and you never drink two wines that are the exact same.
Coffee order?
No thanks — coffee stunts your growth!
Favorite meal and wine pairing?
Chianti and Meat Lovers Pizza, no doubt about it.
Most exciting part of being a wine pro? Hardest part?
I love blind tasting. It is a great feeling to have someone put a glass of wine in front of you and being able to describe it and then accurately guess what it is. I love competing with myself in this regard. Hardest part is remembering all the facts about viticulture! Winemaking is complicated…
What’s your vision for the wine industry?
I think the future of wine is all about approachability, which is a big part of why we started Lifetime Vintage. Just making wine fun and easy for anyone to enjoy. I can’t wait to continue to be part of this change!
